Voices Café is committed to providing quality musical experiences through our venue at The Unitarian Church in Westport. We seek, also, to help support the artists who grace us with their time and talent. Finally, we are committed to our many social justice programs. Your generous support contributes to the well-being of so many!

Voices Café supports the work of the Domestic Violence Crisis Center (DVCC). Funds raised from the Joan & Joni concert will go to DVCC to help individuals experiencing abuse on their journey to safety. Especially now, during COVID-19, victims of domestic violence and children have been isolated at home with abusers, creating dangerous scenarios. DVCC has seen an increase in the demand for counseling and advocacy services, as many abusers have increased their controlling behaviors during this public health crisis. Your ticket purchase could be lifesaving.

Joan & Joni is a tribute to Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell performed by singer/songwriters Allison Shapira and Kipyn Martin.

Allison and Kipyn are both classically trained musicians from the DC-area folk music scene. In Joan & Joni, Allison and Kipyn bring to the stage many of Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell’s well-known originals and folk songs, as well as a few hidden gems.

Voices Cafe sales for Joan & Joni ended at 7pm. But you can still purchase a link to the show here:

Thanks for your support for Voices Cafe!

We charge on a donation basis, with a minimum donation of $10 per Zoom invitation. Please donate as you are able, and consider additional tickets for extra viewers. A portion of the proceeds will support our social justice programs. Thank you for your generous support.
